brandishing frustrations but no blood will be shed birthing newborn pathways to minimize my boredom stillness annoys me but at least i recognize it time is slow if you allow it doubt myself into oblivion like an ox in need of a yoke like a sailor without their star i could be the candlelight or the mirror that reflects it stranger i seem, now i allow myself to say life is awful i allow my face to mutate i allow my words to tangle family names stranger i seem, now

wound 04:19
salt on the wound made by mothers and fathers sisters and brothers clean out the wound but not without a fight leading me to the sources of all my suffering and then drags me below the depths of my threshold of pain this is good for me it helps me to learn the unknown parts of me that can bloom here see the good in me along with the evil still residing passed down through my blood salt on the wound generations deep seeing as the flame engulfs the tree visualizing waves receding trials and torments to atrophy revealing the one with the match is me

about

two debut tracks from threnodies (aka BBA of causer, disposal notice) merging their roots of folk/acoustic guitar centered music and their penchant for industrial noise, synths samples and electronics. this juxtaposition exemplifies the concept of duality or opposition within the self, but when alchemized, forms a vulnerable reflection into the shadow self as well as the outer shadow world they live in. they don't make peace with it quite yet, but work to admit their faults and make the preliminary steps to befriend their shadow-side.

'stranger i seem' was co-written with brother JJS and is an introspective look at how it feels to re-parent oneself in the wake of hopelessness. whether hopelessness is illusory or not, it is the allowance to hold space, at least for a time, for these negative thoughts and feelings.

'wound' was written as calling out of family and generation trauma/passed down through blood. invoking ancestors for guidance as one breaks generational patterns, specifically predispositions to addiction and mental illness.

audible exorcisms, sonic shadow work, and the pursuit of the self.
